MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - WEMBLEY N3

From playing OVO Wembley Arena back in 2007 for their first tour of The Black Parade, My Chemical Romance made a comeback in 2025 and began touring the album again around the world. This early July of 2026, My Chemical Romance played three sold out shows at Wembley Stadium, with a capacity of 90,000 seats. Compared to back in the day at OVO Wembley Arena, which only has a capacity of 12,500, the band have grown massively in success over the last almost two decades.

Tonight, July 11th 2026, the band played the whole of The Black Parade album in order, as well as the hidden track ‘blood’. As part of their 2025 - 2026 The Black Parade 2026 tour, the band played not just from The Black Parade, but also from previous albums such as Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, Danger Days and I Brought You My Bullets, You Brough Me Your Love.

I arrived at the venue around 5pm, just after the doors opened and the amount of people who has all flocked together to one area of London to witness what might possibly be the last performance of The Black Parade ever. People from all around the world came to see My Chemical Romance play their last show of the UK part of their tour.

I had been a regular listener of My Chemical Romance since I was about 14 - 15 years old, I learned early on that they had released their last album and have been on ‘hiatus’ ever since. Being able to experience them performing live for the first and last time is a bittersweet feeling. Wembley Stadium were very good to the fans, the rules were changed around brining water in so fans would be hydrated during the abnormal spike in heat that had been spreading all over the UK. With the venue being amazing, that made the show 10x better. Never have I attended a show and been fed with an actual performance, a story and real passion from those that created the narrative. With My Chemical Romance going through multiple phases over the years when releasing music, its hard to place exactly what genre they are a part of. In my personal opinion, My Chemical Romance are a mixture of Classic Emo, Grunge, Rock and have a dash of experimental metal. It’s a progressive music style paired with a lore heavy story that the fans, including myself, can’t get enough of.

The band started their set at 8:15PM and finished around 11PM, ending the show with the song ‘The Kids From Yesterday’ a song off their album Danger Days (my personal favourite). The atmosphere was so full of joy, nostalgia, passion and devotion, with everyone being respectful to the band and to each other. I never normally go into the pit as I am quite a small person but I had the best time and never felt safer.
